Kinematic Components
A-2 Tool Steel:. We also offer components made of this material for severe service applications. It is magnetic, reasonably corrosion resistant, in the hardened and tempered condition, has a tensile strength of 290,000 psi and a hardness of Rockwell C 60.
17-4PH Stainless Steel: This material has high strength and good corrosion resistance, good resistance to galling, seizing and stress corrosion which are important features in kinematic components. The added feature of low heat treat distortion which is found in high temperature hardening materials allows us to provide precision components that do not require post heat treat and finishing and are therefore less expensive to produce. 17-4PH is magnetic. Our products are heat treated to condition H900 which results in hardness of 45-48HRC with a UTS of>190 ksi (1310 MPa).
