These precision adjustment screws and collets are designed to be used with our press-in kinematic cones, slots and flats. The screws are precision cut from 303 stainless steel and lapped to provide a smooth and repeatable adjustment. Since the ball end is machined in the same set-up at the same time that the thread is cut, the ball is concentric to the thread helix to <.0002" TIR. The matching threaded collets are made from SAE 660 Bronze. This classic match of materials gives fine smooth stictionless movement to your design. The Collets are designed to be bonded into your work. Do not press them in as this will destroy the fit between the screw and the collet. Other screw and collet lengths are available to meet non-standard mounting and travel requirements by special order.
